    MASS READINGS FOR THE DAY
LITANY OF ST. JOSEPH & SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

    • Wear a mask*.  Required for all over the age of two.
    • Be mindful of the pews that are roped off from usage.
    • When you arrive for Mass, please be seated toward the front of the church and toward the middle of the pew as you are comfortable to allow others arriving later to easily find seating in the main worship area. We will continue to encourage keeping a healthy distance and limiting the number of those seated in the Main Worship Space, Gathering Space and Msgr. Foran Great Room.

    • Offertory container is available as you enter the Church for weekend Masses.  We are grateful for your continued support.
    • Reception of Communion.  The priest or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion will come to you to bring you Communion.  Stand or kneel with extended arms to receive in the palms of your hands.
    • Go in Peace.  Following Mass, we ask that all be mindful of social distance while exiting the church. You are encouraged to gather outside.
    • We need you! The church is cleaned after every liturgy currently and with many hands, we are able to accomplish this in a timely and efficient manner. Please meet at the baptismal font for gloves and cleaning supplies. Thank you, in advance, for your help in this important task.
  • Masks are required at St. Joseph.
Though decisions regarding safety protocols within Catholic churches are ultimately within the authority of the diocesan bishop, Catholic tradition teaches that the Church should collaborate with public officials in the service of public health and the common good unless directives are unreasonable, impractical, or discriminatory. The Archdiocese does not regard the Governor’s Executive Order to wear face coverings to be any of these and is therefore asking parishes to comply with his order.

There are exemptions to this requirement:

    • Individuals with a medical condition or disability that makes it unreasonable for the individual to maintain a face covering
    • Children who are five years old and under, and
    • Those assisting at Mass in certain ministries – priests, cantors, musicians, and lectors.

The mask may be removed for the reverent reception of Holy Communion.
The Church of St. Joseph gratefully asks for your cooperation and we ask for charity for those whose particular conditions might exempt them from this requirement.
